The Prince of Persia movie released in 2010 is set in the Persian Empire in the sixth century. Dastan is an orphan living on the streets of Persia struggling to stay alive each day. One day the king of Persia is passing through the market place and sees Dastan standing up to protect another street orphan. King Sharaman, sees Dastan’s bravey and takes him into the palace and adopts him as his own.

Dastan grows up then as a Royal Prince with his new brothers, Tus and Garsiv. After fifteen years living in the palace the story continues.

Dastan travels with his brothers to the Sacred and Revered City of Alamut, assaults the city walls and takes the city.

The story then continues as Dastan and Tamina flee for their lives after the murder of the King. The Dagger of Time is all that saves them many times and in the end restores the Kingdom to its rightful owners.
